Were it not for a group of determined group of community volunteers more than forty years ago, Hildene would not have been saved from development.  To this day, volunteers remain an important part of this historic Lincoln site.  The Lincoln family’s estate is rich in opportunities for volunteer service from the mansion, to the trails, to Hildene Farm.
