Early Light, Stronger Images: Photography Workshop
About
This program does not include admission. An admission ticket is also required.
During the 2 hours before Hildene opens to the public; rain date: Saturday, June 13th.
Capture Hildene’s beauty with confidence in this hands-on, two-hour photography program led by Christopher Dant, a longtime photographer and former student of Ansel Adams. In the early morning light, you’ll quickly learn practical ways to visualize a scene, simplify its composition, and strengthen your photographic eye to make photos you’ll be proud to share. Photographing the picturesque Formal Garden and the exterior of the Lincoln family home, this program is ideal for those who know their camera’s basic controls and would like to take their photography to the next level. Participants may use either a smartphone or an SLR/mirrorless camera. The session will conclude with time to choose 1–2 favorite images to share with the group. Register by Wednesday, June 10th.
