Tour Hildene

Group tours are welcome year-round at Hildene with reservations.

Upon arrival at the Welcome Center, a restored turn-of-the-century carriage barn, your guests will experience the Lincoln family’s legacy through its home, history, gardens, working landscape, farm, and ongoing preservation efforts.

Self-guided tours include the Lincoln family home and carriage barn, the Formal Garden and Cutting and Kitchen Gardens, a restored 1903 Pullman railcar “Sunbeam,” the Many Voices exhibit, the goat dairy at Hildene Farm, and the The American Ideal: Abraham Lincoln and the Second Inaugural exhibit. Tours of the home and Pullman railcar offer docent introductions and availability for questions.
