Join us for afternoons exploring Hildene's dene farm and education greenhouse in winter. Despite the cold temperatures, students will find that the greenhouse is quite warm, and plants are thriving! While tending to these plants, students will learn how food can be grown in winter. Over at the barn, the animals are not sleeping away the winter and, they too, need to be cared for. Students will spend time caring for and being with the farm animals. Of course, there will be plenty of time for fun in the snow and farm and garden crafts too!

Pick up and drop off will take place at Hildene's Education Greenhouse. 1552 River Rd., Manchester, VT.

Students in the BRSU will ride school buses to and from Hildene with their teachers. Homeschool, independent school and other districts’ schools’ families transport their own children.

Hildene staff expect participants to show the utmost consideration for the feelings of others. We strive for cooperative and joyful interactions. In the event we experience behavioral issues with your child, we may contact you and ask that your child leave the program early. Hildene reserves the right to dismiss any child from JISP at Hildene whose behavior isinappropriate. In such an event, no refund will be given.
