Today at Hildene Farm

Today at Hildene Farm

Hildene Farm is alive with purpose, just as it was in Robert Lincoln’s day. Imagine walking the same fields where his dairy herd grazed or standing beneath the maple trees Peggy Beckwith tapped for syrup. Today, those fields hum with new life. From our heritage breeds of Randall cattle to our Crèvecoeur chickens to our Silver Appleyard Ducks, we are dedicated to protecting these endangered animals from extinction.

Goats provide milk for cheesemaking, while chickens and ducks fill baskets with farm-fresh eggs. Sheep, alpacas, and Angora rabbits contribute to our fiber program, connecting modern craft to time-honored traditions.

Hildene Farm now feeds not just the land but the minds and hearts of all who visit. Children harvest vegetables from the same soil that sustained generations before them, learning the importance of stewardship and sustainability.

Guests experience the Lincolns' farming legacy in every pasture and pen. Hildene Farm serves as a living classroom for all guests.
